Our Story
Hi! Thank you for visiting our page! We are so happy to introduce ourselves. We are Eric and Liz. We met at an Irish pub on Saint Patrick’s Day. Liz instantly fell for Eric’s gentle and kind demeanor. Eric was attracted to Liz’s zest for life. Our first date was the start of something great; we went for sushi and talked until the restaurant started shutting off the lights and asked us to leave! We got married in 2015 at the Ashford Estate. Liz was previously a wedding coordinator and pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable evening! After getting married we talked about starting a family and knew we would one day adopt. Eric’s father was adopted, and Liz has a cousin that was placed for adoption. We have welcomed two biological children; our son Cortland (3) and our daughter Reese (2). We have started decorating the nursery with their help and they are so excited!

Family Life
We are open-minded Christians and will raise our children to be accepting, kind people that understand the importance of helping others. One of the ways we like to be helpful in the community is by rescuing animals! We have two rescue dogs; Evvie and Magnolia and rescue chickens. Liz is vegan and the kids are being raised as pescatarians. Eric eats everything!

Lifestyle
We love living so close to the water, and go to the beach and bay often. We are also fortunate to live on over an acre of land and spend lots of time outside by the pool, riding bikes or hiking. Eric has a really big family that lives near by, so there are lots of parties and chances for the cousins to get together and play. Liz’s family is close, so there are always a lot of family gatherings happening! One of our favorite things to do is to plan big birthday celebrations for the kids. This past year, we had a construction theme party for Cortland and went to Diggerland, and had a rodeo for Reese. We can’t resist a theme party! We also go above and beyond for Christmas, and (before Covid started)the tradition of having an annual Saint Patrick’s Day celebration to honor the day we met.

Adoption
We want to welcome you into our lives wholeheartedly. We will keep lines of communication as open as you would like. Our hope is for everyone to feel fulfilled by this relationship.

It’s hard to put into words how much you and your child mean to us already. We want you to know that our door will always be open to you, and there is not a single thing that we won’t do for your baby. We will move mountains to give your child all that he or she deserves. And, with our two children (and pets) we have created a beautiful, warm home so your child can have a blissful childhood.
In our home, your baby will grow up with so much laughter (lots of silly games), dinners around the table, marshmallow roasting, Easter egg hunts in the backyard, and being rocked to sleep at night.
Love,
Liz, Eric, Cortland, and Reese
