Our Story
Hi, we are Ryan & Jaedi (Jade-ee) thank you for taking the time to look at our page! We are a young couple who met through a dating app though as it turns out our lives crossed paths many times before we officially met. Soon into our time dating we knew we were meant to be and got engaged after 9 months. We had a long engagement of almost 2 years and finally tied the knot in March of 2020. We are native New Jerseyians born and raised, though we enjoy traveling to different parts of the US. We have always known we wanted to grow our family through adoption and are looking forward to this next chapter in our lives.

Family Life
Family is something that is very important to us as a couple. Jaedi comes from an Italian family that emphasizes the importance of being there for each other no matter what. We visit her family every Sunday, and live very close to her parents, grandfather, brother and sister. If anyone in the family needs anything everyone pitches in to help and support one another. Ryan’s family is a little farther away, but still in NJ. There are lots of little ones on his side of the family so we see them often, celebrating birthdays and other holidays together.
On weeknights we like to spend time at home together with our pets. We have 2 wonderful dogs who are a big part of our daily lives. Whether it be going on walks or having a quiet night in snuggling on the couch, the pups are happy to tag along. They have both love being around small children, and are looking forward to having a new pack member. We are animal lovers so in addition to our pups we also have a gecko, and a tank of hermit crabs.
Although we are not particularly religious as a couple, we both grew up in a traditionally Christian household. We hope to educate our future child on the beliefs of all cultures so they are able to decide for themselves what they wish to believe in.

Lifestyle
In our free time we are often found exploring the great outdoors in local parks or going hiking. Nature is something we both hold dear, so much so that we live a low-impact lifestyle. When we are not out and about we might be found watching Ice hockey on TV, or cooking together. Ryan enjoys playing video games and tinkering with his self-built computer. Jaedi enjoys spending her time training the dogs, or working on interior design projects. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends. In a normal year we hold monthly board game nights in our home, and visit with family weekly.
We recently moved into a wonderful house in a small neighborhood with lots of young children. We are within walking distance of the elementary school, and have neighbors from all ethnicities and races. Our home has a fenced in backyard, and plenty of space for a growing family. We are enjoying tackling DIY projects in our home to make it truly ours!

Adoption
We recognize the value of having connections with our child’s biological family not only for them, but everyone involved in the adoption journey. Letters, photos, e-mail contact, and the annual Family Options picnic are all things we would love to share with you from the start. As our relationship develops we are also open to phone calls and celebrating milestones or forming new family traditions with you as well. We would love to have as open an adoption as you are comfortable with.
We believe diversity is important not only to our family but for creating a more compassionate world. We come from a diverse family with relatives from all different regions of the world. We were fortunate enough to grow up in ethnically and culturally diverse areas of New Jersey. Jaedi has even become conversationally fluent in Spanish due to her schooling growing up. Because of the dynamic of our family and friends we are always learning and participating in communities different than our own. This is something we hope to share with our child.
Should our child be a different ethnicity or race than our own we plan to incorporate it into our daily lives through literature, food, language, traditional celebrations and anything our child shows interest in. We also plan to take advantage of local resources and knowledge of family and friends to honor their cultural or ethnic background.
