Hi! We are Anthony and Sara. Anthony grew up in Philadelphia, PA and Sara grew up in a small town in Arkansas. We met in Florida where we both lived in the fall of 2014, but our first date was actually in South Carolina while Sara was attending a course for work. There were only a handful of nights we did not get a chance to talk on the phone or see each other in person once we met, we became inseparable. After an exciting three years we were married in early 2017 with our closest family members in attendance
We were both raised in Christian homes and plan to raise our child in the Christian faith. We attend church every week where we help in different areas. We currently volunteer as Youth Leaders, where we primarily work with the teens up to young adults. We try to visit Anthony’s family in Philadelphia at least once a month where we enjoy going out to eat and playing family games. Sara’s family lives in Arkansas and Florida so we can’t visit them as much. We meet Sara’s family in Florida in the summer where we spend a lot of time at the beach and having family BBQs. We also enjoy time at the dog park where our 2 year old Tarzan, a Hound/Lab mix and 10 year old Rosco, a Chihuahua mix love to run and play with other dogs.
Anthony is an avid sports fans, his favorite teams include the Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies. We love attending live sporting events and cheering for their favorite teams. We enjoy traveling together and being able to experience different cultures and foods. Our most recent trip was to the Dominican Republic where we got to meet many of the locals that welcomed us to see their favorite parts of the island. We like spending time outdoors together and enjoy bike rides and hiking. In October we ran our first Army Ten Miler together in Washington D.C. Most recently we explored a new adventure together and really had a chance to work together as we searched for clues in an escape room.
We are extremely blessed to have the opportunity to grow our family through adoption. Our lives have already been touched by adoption as Anthony’s best friend was adopted. We are open to letters, pictures or emails and possible visits.
Diversity defines our relationship. Coming from different races we have been able to learn and grow so much from each other’s family. We feel that it is very important for our child to grow up knowing and learning about their ethnic background. We are excited to learn and grow with our child.
